My love John Redmond commissioned Nadina Ironia to paint this portrait of my other love Archie. It is painted from a picture that was taken (unknown to me ) a local photographer on a fabulous sunny day when Archie and I were starting our big adventure together. It is very poignant as I have recently retired archie and I miss him, but this way I get to see him every day ♡. Thank you nadina, it is beyond amazing and for using you artistic licence and adding molly and macy

There is the story about the horse, which she captures the movement,
the spirit and most importantly for me, their eye which truly gives way to their personality…
which in turn leads to the story about the owners relationship with the horse, this story is one that Nadina tells so beautifully and eloquently…
my husband and I have been blessed with many horses that have stories not only of their own to share but our personal stories with them…Nadina is the artist who has been able to put paintbrush to canvas and convey the story that we want to share, that is the true definition of an artist, a story teller!

I would like to offer now my sincere thanks and appreciation to Nadina Ironia who made this photoshoot for ‘Bit on the Side Saddle’s’ new riding outfit. I spoke with lots of riders at last years Side Saddle Nationals to get a feel for a new outfit and the general consensus was they would love something specially for side saddle but in performance fabrics, so many months later I had to find both a fantastic side saddle rider, and someone who can make a picture. Kalindi Lawrence rides, competes and hunts side saddle everyday for each relevant season so I was delighted to have her and her lovely horse ‘Lokshman’ on board. But who to use as photographer? During the Side Saddle hunt at Meath I met Nadina, and after watching her work and seeing her website I decided I would love to work with her. Nadina makes pictures, she paints and draws and fills a space with something beautiful, not just push button, the composition and creativeness is wonderful and has totally captured the feel of a smart and practical garment that brings side saddle dress into a new era. Truly thrilled to bits, and we wait so long to share! Thank you Nadina, look forward to next time. Sarah Parry.
